This camp introduces the basic skills for track and field events: sprinting, starting, hurdling, distance running, shot put, javelin, discus, high jump, long jump and triple jump. The young athlete will establish his or her own PR (personal record) in each event and then learn the importance of setting new goals.
- July 7-11, 9am to 12 noon
- July 14-18, 9am to 12 noon
- July 21-25, 9 am to 12 noon
Cost: $110 per week. DSNO is offering $75.00 scholarships for three participants for each class. DSNO Picnics in the Park are park play dates we are setting up around greater Portland. The days and times vary to benefit the variety of schedules. This is casual — just come play, bring a picnic or whatever.
Keep in mind a change of clothes for little ones as many parks have a water feature.
